Suspect Arrested for Narcotics Possession and Sales at California Roots Festival
MONTEREY, CA — May 27th 2026 — “On May 23, 2026, at approximately 4:50 P.M., Monterey Police Officers were working at the California Roots Music and Art Festival when they observed a subject offering psilocybin mushrooms for sale.
Officers identified the subject as Samuel Hebner, 33, and placed him under arrest. Inside a bag Hebner was carrying, officers found psilocybin, MDMA ecstasy, cocaine, marijuana, and ketamine, all packaged for sale.
Hebner was booked into the Monterey County Jail on charges of 11378 HS, 11379.2 HS, 11351(a) HS, and 11359(b) HS. Hebner’s bail was set at $30,000.”
