“On 6/17/2021 at 9:31 pm, officers responded to a neighbor dispute in the 500 block of San Benito St. These neighbors have a history of ongoing disputes. Today an argument ensued when James Valdivia (51) accused his neighbor (43) of throwing items at the windows to his residence.

Valdivia, who is confined to a wheelchair, with the help of two juveniles (14 and 16 years of age) attacked the neighbor. One of the juveniles may have had a knife as all three punched and kicked the neighbor.

There may have been a fourth suspect who fled prior to police arrival. In the process, the neighbor victim suffered a cut to his forehead, a broken nose and an eye injury.

After the officer’s investigation of the incident, Valdivia was arrested and transported to county jail and the two juveniles went to juvenile hall. All facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon and others.”
