Man in stolen vehicle resists….at first

“During the early morning hours of January 27th, officers located a stolen vehicle which had been stolen during a commercial burglary a few days prior.
Officers converged on the vehicle and conducted a high risk stop on the vehicle.
During the stop, officers contacted Lorenzo James Arthur Lopez, of Red Bluff inside the stolen vehicle.
Lopez refused to follow the lawful commands of officers on scene. While being taken into custody, Lopez resisted officers, resulting in a minor injury to one of the arresting officers.
Lopez was medically cleared and booked into jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, and bringing controlled substances into the jail.
During the investigation, officers located items they believed to be stolen during a separate, unreported burglary.
The vehicle, along with other property stolen during the burglary were returned to the owner undamaged. A silver lining on this otherwise dark and stormy night.”
