Red Bluff Police are seeking the whereabouts of 39-year-old Salvador Valdovinos, who is wanted as an accessory to a recent homicide.

The investigation began on the night of August 3, 2020, when a 52-year-old man walked into the local Food Maxx on Belleville Road and collapsed from a single gunshot wound to the chest. He was later pronounced dead St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Not long after, investigators were able to identify Valdovinos as having been linked to the crime and have issued a warrant for his arrest.

Valdovinos, who remains at large, is described as a Hispanic male standing approximately 5-foot-9 and weighing about 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police say he may be staying in multiple locations around Tehama and Lassen Counties to avoid police.

Anyone with information relevant to the case or Valdovinos’ potential whereabouts is encouraged to contact Red Bluff PD at 530-527-3131 or the Tehama County Secret Witness line at 530-529-1268.
