Juvenile Suspect Arrested for Alleged Armed Robbery in Fresno
FRESNO, CA — “On August 31, 2026, at approximately 7:01 pm, Fresno Police Officers assigned to the Southeast Policing District responded to an armed robbery near East Butler Avenue and South Fifth Street. During the investigation, officers found out that the victim was robbed at gunpoint by an unknown suspect. The suspect racked the handgun, leading the victim to believe that a live round was ejected and fell to the ground before the suspect took the victim’s belongings, including the victim’s laptop. The suspect ran away westbound on Butler Avenue after the robbery.
Officers and detectives were able to positively identify the suspect, a 17 year old juvenile. Southeast District Safety Team (DST) members were able to locate and arrest the suspect for robbery near East Mckinley Avenue and North Chestnut Avenue. The suspect was booked into the Juvenile Justice Campus.”
