CHP Arrests Impaired Driver Traveling 90 MPH on State Route 99 near Turlock
TURLOCK, CA — June 22nd 2026 — “A traffic stop that may have prevented a tragedy. CHP stopped the driver of a Jeep who was driving 90 MPH on SR-99 in the Turlock area. During the investigation, it was determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended driver license.
The driver was reportedly on the way to pick up two young children at daycare. Thankfully, the stop was made before that could happen. The driver was arrested for DUI and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
Speeding, impaired driving, and driving on a suspended license are dangerous choices that put everyone at risk. Make a plan before you drink and never get behind the wheel impaired.
