On Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 5:22 pm, Turlock Police Department Detectives and Investigators assigned to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) arrested Nathan Leroy Davis Sharp, 31 years, at his Turlock home, located in the 1200 block of Lambert Way.

At approximately 4:00 pm, SIU Investigators were conducting surveillance and tracked Sharp down and spotted him entering his residence. This led to a brief standoff as his residence was surrounded by police. Out of an abundance of caution, neighbors were evacuated from their homes.

After nearly an hour of public address calls made outside his home, calling for his surrender, Sharp ended up emerging from his residence. Sharp was taken into custody without further incident.

Detectives authored a search warrant for his home and served it that evening. Based on evidence located during the search, Sharp may be facing charges on additional crimes he is suspected to have been involved with.

Sharp was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on charges of battery, causing great bodily injury and aggravated assault.
