CARMICHAEL, CA  — “On Friday (2/27), North POP and North Patrol Deputies responded to a local convenience store in the 5000 block of Marconi Avenue about a theft.

The suspect, 23-year-old Mohammad Sadam Nahimi, entered the business and attempted to steal several items. When the employee confronted him and tried to recover the items, Nahimi initially escaped out of the store, but then pointed a handgun at the employee.

Nahimi then fled the location on an electric bike and fired a shot at an unrelated vehicle in the roadway, causing damage to the vehicle. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Deputies quickly located Nahimi, detained him, and found a handgun concealed in his waistband. The firearm had no serial number and was unregistered.

Thanks to the quick response by patrol and POP Deputies, Nahimi was taken into custody and transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail for a number of felony charges. Yesterday, he posted bond on $125,000 bail and was released from custody.”
