Suspect Arrested for Drug Possession

Yolo County Sheriff’s Deputies reportedly recently arrested a man during a traffic stop for a large amount of drugs found in his possession, according to an official press release.

Gerald Ray Osbourne, 56, of West Sacramento was reportedly arrested and charged with transportation for the sale of narcotics, possession/purchase for the sale of a controlled substance, transportation to sell a controlled substance, possess of marijuana hashish for sale, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia. He was reportedly booked into the Yolo County Jail and is being held on $280,000 bail.

According to Yolo County Sheriff, on Tuesday, January 27, 2014, at approximately 11:49 pm, deputies made contact with the suspect during a traffic stop on Harbor Boulevard, south of Sacramento Avenue, in West Sacramento. During that time, deputies reportedly detected the strong odor of marijuana coming from the inside of the vehicle.

Upon further investigation of the vehicle, deputies reportedly found 73.56 grams of methamphetamine, 63.26 grams of heroin, 41.51 grams of marijuana, and non-prescribed pills.
