Pair arrested for shooting intended robbery target

During the night of June 18, around 2:15 a.m., a call came in to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office concerning a shooting that had just occurred.

Deputies responded to the 4400 block of Greenholme Drive. There they found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The victim was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition.

Apparently the victim, walking on the street, was approached by a car with three males inside.

One of the three got out of the vehicle, tried to rob the victim, and then shot him.

“18-year-old Eddie Young of Sacramento was arrested for attempted homicide, robbery and related charges. Detectives also arrested 19-year-old Jerem Lucas of Sacramento for assault with a firearm, robbery and related charges. A third person was contacted, interviewed and subsequently released.”
