Vehicle Pursuit Ends in Arrest Following Cannabis Facility Burglary
SALINAS, CA — Law enforcement agencies conducted a multi-agency vehicle pursuit early Tuesday morning (11/25/25) following a reported in-progress burglary at a cannabis greenhouse facility on Potter Road in Salinas. The incident resulted in the arrest of one individual and the recovery of a substantial quantity of marijuana.
The initial report was logged at approximately 1:40 AM on November 25, 2025, when a security guard notified authorities of three to four individuals reportedly taking bags of marijuana from the facility. The subjects were described as loading the materials into two vehicles: a white Tesla and a silver or grey Honda. This information was disseminated to neighboring law enforcement agencies.
Salinas Police Department units subsequently located the white Tesla traveling north on Highway 101 near Laurel Drive. The vehicle failed to yield, initiating a pursuit that continued north on Highway 101, progressing into the city of Gilroy with assistance from Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies. California Highway Patrol (CHP), Gilroy Police Department, Morgan Hill Police Department, and the Santa Clara Sheriff’s Office provided further assistance during the operation.
The pursuit concluded in a Gilroy cul-de-sac when the Tesla was blocked. The three occupants exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Law enforcement captured one subject, while the remaining two eluded immediate apprehension. A yard-to-yard search of the area, utilizing drones from the Morgan Hill PD, did not result in the location of the two outstanding subjects. A 17-year-old male juvenile was arrested and transported to Monterey County Juvenile Hall on multiple charges related to the incident.
Deputies located a large load of marijuana inside the Tesla. Additionally, authorities determined the second involved vehicle had been disabled after crashing into a ditch near the intersection of Highway 101 and Gould Road.
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the investigation is active and ongoing. Detectives are seeking public assistance with any information that may lead to the identification of the remaining suspects. Information can be provided anonymously via telephone or an online tip page.
