Carlsbad Police Arrest Suspect Linked to $100,000 Retail Theft from Under Armour Store

Carlsbad, CA – ”Detectives Recover $100K in Stolen Merchandise Following Retail Theft Investigation

In May 2025, Carlsbad Police Detectives began investigating a series of retail thefts at the Under Armour store in Carlsbad. Working closely with Under Armour’s loss prevention team, detectives identified the suspect as Yvonne Tran, 65, of San Diego.

Further investigation linked Tran to more than 40 separate thefts from the same location, resulting in significant losses for the retailer.

On October 1, 2025, detectives arrested Tran in San Diego and served a search warrant at her residence. Inside, they recovered approximately $100,000 in stolen Under Armour merchandise. Tran was booked on 10 felony counts of grand theft.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to determine if Tran is connected to other similar thefts in the region.”
