Three Arrested in Yuba City Burglary, $10,000 in Stolen Property Recovered
YUBA CITY, CA — “On August 9, 2025, Sutter County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call regarding an active burglary in the area of Smith Road in Yuba City. The reporting party was actively watching the suspects steal property via their video surveillance system, while away from home. Due to the reporting party’s clear video surveillance quality; deputies were able to make out a license plate, vehicle descriptions and identify three potential suspects. The reporting party estimated the stolen property in the amount of $10,000.
While conducting an area check, deputies located one suspect vehicle in the area of Lincoln Road and Meadow Avenue in Yuba City. Upon contact, in plain view, deputies located numerous items of stolen property that matched the description from the reporting party and the surveillance footage, inside the vehicle. The driver, 42-year-old Brieanna Cottrell of Yuba City, was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Sutter County Jail.
Through quick investigation, the second suspect vehicle was successfully located by deputies in the area of Cooper Avenue and Forbes Avenue in Yuba City. The driver, 45-year-old Jeffrey Lopez of Live Oak, was contacted and a vehicle search revealed additional stolen property. Lopez was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Sutter County Jail.
The third suspect was identified as 44-year-old Juan Galvan-Ramirez of Colusa. Galvan-Ramirez was contacted at a residence in the area of Almond Street in Yuba City. A search of the property was conducted, and deputies located the remainder of the stolen items. Galvan-Ramirez was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Sutter County Jail.
All three suspects, Cottrell, Lopez and Galvan-Ramirez were booked into the Sutter County Jail for conspiracy to commit a crime, burglary, grand theft, vandalism of $400 or more, and other reoffending related crimes.
All stolen items were returned to the reporting party.”
