San Joaquin County Man Arrested for Allegedly Embezzling $147K from Local Golf Club

STOCKTON, CA  —  “In November 2024, the Elkhorn Golf Club contacted the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office to report a significant embezzlement from their business. An investigation conducted by our Property Crimes Detectives uncovered approximately $147,000 in missing cash deposits dating from 2022 to 2024.

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect in the theft was Mykal Parsons, who was employed as the Golf Professional at Elkhorn Golf Club during the time the funds were taken.

An arrest warrant was issued for Mykal Parsons, and on May 8, 2025, he was taken into custody by San Joaquin County Property Crimes Detectives. He was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on charges of Grand Theft and Embezzlement.”
