“This is exactly why you should not drink and drive. This morning at 3:45 am officers responded to W. Market St. at Salinas St. on a report of an unknown injury accident with a vehicle blocking the roadway.
Officers arrived and observed an unoccupied newer model Porsche Panamera in the middle of the roadway. The Porsche sheared off a traffic light at the southeast corner of the intersection and the traffic light was also blocking the roadway.
The driver Oscar Blancas (44) was not seriously injured but was determined to be driving under the influence. He was arrested for DUI.
Salinas PD encourages everyone to be responsible this holiday season, Do Not Drink and Drive. Have a safe and happy holiday season!”
