Salinas Police Arrest Burglar Posing as PG&E Employee

SALINAS — Police have announced the arrest 29-year-old Ramee Ayesh, a man who put two Salinas neighborhoods on high alert after several burglaries in the Las Palmas and Creekbridge areas.

On April 7th, the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office issued a warning to the residents of Salinas after several burglaries had been reported.

A suspicious man wearing a “neon vest” had reportedly told a homeowner that he worked for PG&E, and was also seen jumping a fence into the backyard of a home where broken glass was found. He was also seen wearing a suit in other instances

The Sheriff’s Office believe that Ayesh is the same man who set off a burglary alarm after kicking in the door of a home just before stealing a Cadillac. He is also the same man who led Fresno police on a pursuit a few weeks earlier prior to being released on bail.

Before being arrested, he worked as a car salesman at My Nissan and Salinas Valley Ford but was fired from both places, allegedly for collecting customer information for personal use.
