“On November 3rd, 2021 at approximately 4:09 P.M., officers from the Neighborhood Police Unit (NPU) served a search warrant at the 2600 block of Park Marina Drive. NPU had developed information that Cheyne Phillips (41 years old of Redding) and Charlotte Phillips (36 years of Redding) had been selling narcotics in the City of Redding.

Throughout NPU’s investigation, officers developed enough information to obtain a search warrant for the RV that the Phillipses were living in.

NPU contacted the Phillipses and the search warrant was served. NPU recovered over 29 grams of fentanyl and 3.5 grams of methamphetamine. NPU also recovered $8,760, an un-serialized semi-automatic handgun and a non-functioning Glock handgun.

Due to prior convictions, Cheyne Phillips is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.

In the past year Shasta County, along with many other locations throughout the United States, have seen a huge increase in fentanyl related overdoses and deaths. According to US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), the lethal dosage of fentanyl for most individuals is .002 grams.

Cheyne Phillips and Charlotte Phillips were booked into the Shasta County Jail for possession of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine with the intent to sell, being prohibited persons in possession of firearms and ammunition, conspiracy, possession of a non-serialized firearm, possession of a controlled substance while armed, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Neighborhood Police Unit will continue their relentless pursuit of narcotic dealers in the City of Redding.”
