“On Sunday, August 8th, at 8:48 P.M. Officers were dispatched to 2184 Hilltop, Cattlemen’s Restaurant, for a report of a subject throwing rocks at vehicles and businesses.
The investigation revealed the suspect, later identified as Abdulla Daniels, 44 years of Redding, threw rocks at a 70-year-old woman in her car for unknown reasons, breaking her car windows.
An employee at Cattleman’s tried to intervene and Daniels threw rocks at him too; then chased him back into the business. The employee tried to hold the door closed to keep the suspect from entering and Daniels threw rocks through the glass door.
Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect nearby. Daniels refused the officer’s lawful orders and rushed an officer in an apparent attempt to assault him. K-9 Miko was utilized to take Daniels into custody. After a medical clearance he was booked at the Shasta County Jail for vandalism, assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, and elder abuse.”
