EL DORADO – On November 26 of 2018 Shannon Anderson talked with his girlfriend on the phone here and there throughout the day.

They got into an argument during which he threatened to choke her, as well as slit her throat and kill her.

The conversation ended as the girlfriend was in the Nugget parking lot, where not long-after, Anderson also arrived.

Surveillance cameras recorded Anderson punching, kicking and keying the woman’s car.

He then entered the Nugget store and ran down an aisle to confront his girlfriend, pulling her hair. Anderson followed her through the store but, for that day, nothing further took place.

In the past Anderson had been physically abusive to his girlfriend, leaving her on various occasions with a black eye, a bloody nose and a broken rib.

After a protective order was put out against him, Anderson continued stalking the victim, sometimes arriving at her house unannounced. Once he “tampered with her electrical box in an attempt to turn off her power.”

On October 4th it all came down in court as Anderson was convicted of threatening to kill his girlfriend, felony vandalism and violations of the protective order against him.

On November 1st 2019 he will find out how long he will be sentenced to prison. He faces a potential sentence of 25 years to life in prison.
