Multi-Agency Operation Targets Narcotics and Illegal Firearms Across Colusa County
COLUSA, CA – Law enforcement agencies completed a multi-day counter-narcotic operation across Colusa County, resulting in multiple arrests along with the seizure of drugs, firearms, and a stolen vehicle.
Operation Central Valley Blues ran continuously from Oct. 5 through Oct. 8, 2026. The Colusa County Task Force (CCTF) coordinated the effort alongside the California Highway Patrol Northern Division K9 unit, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Colusa Police Department, Colusa Probation Department, and the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office.
During a 36-hour period within the operation, personnel executed five residential search warrants. The searches yielded drug trafficking evidence, a stolen firearm, and the arrests of individuals with outstanding felony warrants.
Participating officers also conducted traffic enforcement stops, averaging more than 40 stops per 12-hour shift. These stops led to additional arrests—including identified criminal street gang members—as well as the recovery of a stolen vehicle and another illegal firearm with narcotics.
Officials stated the coordinated operation focused on disrupting criminal trafficking along major Northern California transit routes, including Interstate 5 and Highway 20. Questions regarding the operation may be directed to Colusa County Sheriff’s Office Field Services Lieutenant Jose Ruiz.
