LIVERMORE — Police arrested Dywan J. Geeston, 51, of Fairfield, on September 20 on suspicion of multiple firearms-related charges. He was busted
at approximately 1:30 a.m., during a traffic stop in Livermore.
Geeston was driving a Mercedes SUV at the time, with one unidentified passenger accompanying him. Police noted that both individuals have criminal
records.
Officers searched the vehicle because the passenger was recently released from jail. The passenger’s post-release community supervision allows for
impromptu searches of their immediate surroundings.
Concealed inside the vehicle’s center console, an unregistered loaded handgun was found, which Geeston reportedly told police belonged to him. “Geeston has
prior felony convictions and is prohibited from possessing firearms,” Livermore police said in a prepared statement.
Geeston was placed under arrest, however he is not presently listed in Alameda County’s online inmate roster.
Multiple charges (26-CR-012406) filed against Geeston on September 21
include –
· Possession of a firearm by a felon
· Carrying a concealed firearm within a vehicle
· Possession of a concealed firearm with ammunition
· Carrying a loaded firearm
Geeston has prior convictions on his record for-
· Use of a firearm (2024)
· Carrying a dirk or dagger (2004)
· Possession of a controlled substance with a firearm
