Fresno Man Reportedly Arrested on Domestic Violence Charges
FRESNO, CA — “On July 29, 2026, at approximately 5:12 PM, the Fresno Police Department received a report of a domestic disturbance. On July 29, 2026, at approximately 4:30 PM, the confidential victim arrived home from work and found her ex-boyfriend, 39-year-old David Moreno, in her apartment. The victim went to her room to get dressed for school, and Moreno followed her to talk. The victim tried to leave the room and walked into the bathroom to change clothes, and Moreno prevented her by standing in the doorway, refusing to move. Moreno had the victim’s keys and phone in his hand. The victim began to shout, ‘Call 9-1-1!’ to her daughter. Moreno lunged forward and covered the victim’s mouth with one of his hands and placed the other hand on the back of her upper neck for three seconds to prevent the victim from yelling for help. The victim was in the room with Moreno for about 10 minutes, while Moreno did not allow the victim to leave. When the victim’s daughter called 9-1-1, Moreno fled.
On Sunday, August 16, 2026, at approximately 8:20 PM, Northwest District Safety Team members received an Automated License Reader (ALPR) ALPR hit to Suspect Moreno’s vehicle in the area of North Blackstone Avenue and Saginaw Way. Officers located Moreno’s vehicle as it traveled northbound on North Blackstone Avenue and East San Jose Avenue and confirmed the driver was Suspect David Moreno. Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested Moreno. Moreno was booked at the Fresno County Jail on domestic violence charges related to this case.”
