Fresno Police Allegedly Catch Man with Stolen Vehicle
FRESNO, CA — “On July 22, 2026, Fresno Police Department’s Career Criminal Auto Theft Team (CCATT) detectives located an occupied stolen vehicle in the area of Abby Avenue and Belmont Avenue after the vehicle was scanned by several License Plate Readers (LPR) in the area. Detectives followed the vehicle to the area of Clark Avenue and Lewis Avenue, where the driver, 35-year-old Ernie Chanmany, was taken into custody for auto theft charges and possession of a controlled substance.
