Fresno Police Arrest Juvenile, 13, in Connection with Fatal Shooting at Reflections Apartment Complex

FRESNO, CA — “On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at approximately 8:04 pm, Northwest Policing District officers were dispatched to the Reflections Apartment Complex at West Barstow Avenue and North Brawley Avenue regarding a gunshot heard in the area. Officers checked the area but did not locate evidence of a shooting. At 08:23 pm, the Fresno Police Department received an update regarding a shooting victim inside an apartment of the complex.
Officers located a victim, 19-year-old Edgar Hernandez, inside an apartment suffering from an apparent gun-shot injury to his upper body. Hernandez was transported to CRMC, where he was treated but later died.
Homicide detectives responded and during their investigation they determined a 13-year-old juvenile was responsible for the shooting. The juvenile was arrested and booked at the Juvenile Justice Campus for Manslaughter.
