Fresno police have announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to two recent robberies.

30-year-old Eric Torres, who police say is a known gang member, is accused of robbing the Chase bank on North Blackstone Avenue on Friday, March 18, and the Bank of America on Arrant Street in Selma the following day.

After identifying him as the suspect, investigators circulated Torres’s photo in Be-on-the-Lookout memos to other agencies. On March 20, Torres was reportedly involved in a solo vehicle car accident, and responding officers recognized him from the memos.

After finding evidence linking him to both robberies, authorities arrested and booked Torres in connection to the two robberies.
