Two Arrested Following Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Seizure by NET-5
SUTTER, CA – On April 7, 2026, the Yuba Sutter Narcotic and Gang Enforcement Task Force (NET-5), assisted by the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office, conducted an enforcement operation in the vicinity of South George Washington Boulevard and Highway 113. The operation targeted a vehicle and associated individuals.
During the subsequent search, agents recovered 222.45 grams of fentanyl and 4.79 grams of methamphetamine. In addition to the narcotics, officials seized packaging materials, bear mace, and $2,204 in U.S. currency.
Two individuals, identified as 58-year-old John Brick and 48-year-old Johnathan Peterson, both residents of Yuba City, were apprehended during the operation. Both men were booked into the Sutter County Jail on charges involving the possession, transportation, and sale of controlled substances. Representatives from the task force stated that the arrests and seizures were the result of inter-agency cooperation aimed at addressing illegal narcotics within the community.
