Vallejo Man Found Guilty by Jury: Sexually Abused Child for Years

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — “Following the courageous testimony of the victim, several other witnesses, and key pieces of evidence, Alvaro Guzman Perez, a 44 year old Vallejo man, was found guilty of multiple counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child by a jury of his peers in Department 2 of the Solano County Superior Court on February 18th, 2026.

Over the course of several years, Perez violated the 11-14 year old victim in multiple ways. The allegations came to light after the victim told her mother what had been occurring while the mother was at work and the victim was home alone with Perez. The mother immediately contacted the Solano County Sheriff’s Office and patrol units were able to successfully arrest Perez. After the initial arrest, detectives stepped in and began working on the investigation.

Through the continued investigation, several important pieces of evidence were collected which led to the successful conviction of Perez. On March 26th, 2026, Perez was sentenced to a total of 101 years to life in state prison for his actions.

The case was investigated by Detective Danny Schilling and prosecuted by the Solano County District Attorney’s Office. If you or someone you know has been the victim of sexual abuse, we urge you to contact local law enforcement.”
