El Centro Traffic Stop Leads to Narcotics Arrest and Seizure
EL CENTRO, CA – “Last night, El Centro Police Department night shift patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple vehicle code violations. The driver did not pull over right away and continued driving until arriving at their residence, where they were subsequently detained.
Officers requested assistance from the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit.
The K-9 conducted a sniff of the vehicle and positively alerted to the presence of narcotics.
A search of the vehicle revealed narcotic paraphernalia, a digital scale, and approximately 42.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
The driver was placed under arrest and booked into the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office Jail for multiple charges.
