Two arrested after alleged armed robbery at El Centro Home Depot

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of robbing an El Centro Home Depot, police have said.

42-year-old Hector Gonzalez Jr. and 28-year-old Dominique Camarena are accused of shoplifting about $1,000 in various power tools, with Gonzalez having reportedly brandished a firearm at the employees who tried to confront them, on the evening of Saturday, November 28.

Police were able to identify the two by reviewing surveillance footage from the store.

The next day, November 29, officers spotted the pair in the area of Sixth and State Streets and were able to take them into custody without incident.

Gonzalez was booked at the Imperial County Jail on suspicion of robbery, while Camarena was issued a citation for theft.
