Female Felon Arrested in Winterhaven on Firearm and Drug Allegations

evidence - courtesy of imperial county sheriff's officeWINTERHAVEN, CA — Imperial County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman on multiple weapons and narcotics charges following a vehicle check in the Winterhaven area on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026.

Deputies assigned to the Winterhaven Sub-Station contacted 37-year-old Danielle Meeden while she was parked near Winterhaven Drive and Picacho Road along the Yuma Main Canal. During the interaction, deputies observed a loaded firearm in plain view inside the vehicle.

Based on prior law enforcement interactions, deputies recognized Meeden as a convicted felon. A criminal history record check conducted through Imperial County Sheriff’s Office dispatch confirmed her prior felony convictions, which prohibit her from legally possessing firearms or ammunition.

A search conducted incident to arrest yielded 17 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, and multiple plastic baggies.

Meeden was transported and booked into the Imperial County Jail. Charges against her include being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm, a felon in possession of ammunition, possession of narcotics for sale, and possession of methamphetamine while armed with a loaded firearm.
