Five Juveniles Arrested Following Assault and Robbery in Downtown San Luis Obispo
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA – On Thursday, February 5, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., San Luis Obispo Police officers responded to reports of a physical altercation in a parking lot located in the 1100 block of Morro Street. Upon arrival, officers determined that the involved suspects had fled the scene in several vehicles.
The initial investigation revealed that a 15-year-old female juvenile had been assaulted by a group consisting of two juvenile males and three juvenile females. According to the police report, the victim was thrown to the ground and subjected to repeated strikes to her body and head. The assault resulted in the victim losing consciousness and sustaining other physical injuries. Emergency medical services transported the victim by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. During the incident, the victim’s mobile phone and purse were taken.
The San Luis Obispo Police Department Detective Bureau took over the investigation and subsequently identified five juvenile suspects: two 14-year-old females, one 16-year-old female, one 16-year-old male, and one 17-year-old male. On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, detectives located and arrested all five individuals.
The juveniles were booked into the San Luis Obispo County Juvenile Hall on felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily injury (PC 245(a)(4)), robbery (PC 211), and conspiracy (PC 182). Additionally, two of the juveniles were charged with misdemeanor possession of less than one ounce of marijuana (HS 11357(d)), and one was charged with misdemeanor possession of pepper spray by a minor (PC 22810(d)).
