One Person Injured After Shooting- Investigation Underway
Santa Cruz – “A shooting investigation that left one person injured is underway.
Officers responded to a business on the 400 block of E. Lake Avenue at about 9:45 this morning. While Officers were at the scene, they were notified by hospital staff that a man in his 40s with a gunshot wound had been taken to the emergency room. At this time, the victim’s condition is unknown.
As a precaution, two nearby schools, E.A. Hall Middle School and Mintie White Elementary, were placed on a lockdown until Officers were able to deem the campuses safe.
Detectives and Officers are working on gathering information and a description of the suspect who fled the scene following the shooting.

Una investigación de tiroteo que dejó a una persona herida está en marcha.
Oficiales respondieron a un negocio en la cuadra 400 de E. Lake Avenue alrededor de las 9:45 de esta mañana. Mientras los Oficiales se encontraban en el lugar, el personal del hospital les notificó que un hombre de unos 40 años con una herida de bala había sido trasladado a urgencias. Hasta el momento, se desconoce el estado de la víctima.
Como medida de precaución, dos escuelas cercanas, la Escuela secundaria E.A. Hall y la Escuela Primaria Mintie White, fueron puestas bajo un cierre preventivo hasta que los Oficiales las consideraran seguras.
Los Detectives y Oficiales están trabajando para recopilar información y obtener una descripción del sospechoso que huyó del lugar tras el tiroteo.
