Juveniles Detained at Marina State Beach in Connection with Stolen Vehicle and Alcohol Possession

On 05-20-25, at about 4:06 PM, Marina PD was notified via FLOCK of a stolen red Chevrolet Cruze that was entering the City of Marina. Officers began searching for the vehicle and eventually located it unoccupied in the parking lot Marina State Beach. Officers from Marina Police, California State Parks and CHP began surveillance of the parked vehicle. After a short time, five subjects were observed entering the vehicle and were detained without incident.
The five subjects were found to be all juveniles from Salinas. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for vehicle theft. They were also all found in possession of alcoholic beverages. All juveniles were cited to the custody of their parents or guardians. The stolen vehicle was released to the victim with no damage.
