Stockton CHP Reportedly Arrests Individual in Connection with Fatal Hit-and-Run
STOCKTON, CA — “On 05/09/2025, at approximately 12:18 in the morning, CHP officers responded to a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian on Wilson Way just south of Belvedere Avenue in Stockton. Upon their arrival, the pedestrian, who was struck by an unidentified vehicle, was discovered in critical condition. Tragically, he later succumbed to his injuries, turning this investigation into a fatal hit-and-run.
With witness accounts at the scene, a description of the fleeing vehicle was provided. Although no initial license plate details were obtained, our CHP-Valley Investigative Services Unit (ISU) and DELTA-RATT investigators were able to utilize these descriptions to identify and locate the suspect vehicle. Technological assistance enabled investigators to track the vehicle to a residence on Vine Street in Stockton. Upon investigation at the residence, the suspect vehicle was discovered, showing evident signs of involvement in the hit-and-run. The driver at the time of the collision, was subsequently arrested and charged with Vehicular Manslaughter and Hit-and-Run resulting in injuries or death. Our gratitude is extended to the citizens of Stockton for their crucial assistance in providing key descriptors of the suspect vehicle.
