TRACY – A recent rash of strange thievery occurred in the town of Tracy during recent weeks.  During these thefts, the tires of Toyotas and Hondas were removed and the cars were left sitting on concrete blocks.

Then just after midnight on February 12th, a Tracy Police Department officer spotted “several male suspects running from the 1100 block of Walnut Street towards a waiting U-Haul truck.”

The officer followed the truck and noticed a Toyota Camry wheel and a landscaping block fall from the U-Haul. A pursuit began when the officer attempted to stop the suspects, who instead, tried to flee.

The pursuit ended in Manteca with the assistance of the Manteca CHP. The driver and a passenger escaped. However, four other suspects were captured.

Darius Binder, Gregory Brice, Amir Brown and Serkiah Galloway, all 18 and from Stockton, were arrested and charged with grand theft, vandalism and conspiracy.
