“On 09/25/2023 Detectives from the Investigations Bureau of the El Dorado County Sheriff Office assisted an outside agency with a search warrant service in El Dorado County. Through the investigation, Detectives learned the owner of the property where the search warrant would be executed was Daniel Waymire.
Upon execution of the search warrant, Detectives discovered several firearms including an illegal short barrel rifle, ammunition, approximately 18 grams of methamphetamine, and unlawful drug paraphernalia. Daniel admitted to owning all the items.
Due to his admissions, Daniel was booked into El Dorado County Jail for the following charges: 29800(a)(1) PC: Felon in Possession of a Firearm; 30305(a)(1) PC: Felon in Possession of Ammunition; 33215 PC: Possession of a Short-Barreled Rifle; 23920(a) PC: Possession of a Firearm with an Altered Serial Number; 11377(a) H&S: Possession of an Unlawful Controlled Substance; and 11364(a) H&S: Possession of Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.”
