“During the early morning hours of Friday, April 14, 2023, officers of the Parlier Police Department conducted a vehicle check on a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway at the intersection of Erika and Ann Streets.
The driver Thomas Whitfield, twenty-seven-years-old of Bakersfield was contacted and a strong odor of marijuana could be smelt coming from the interior of the vehicle. An inventory search of the vehicle was conducted incident to arrest a loaded stolen .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun was located concealed in the vehicle. Several baggies of marijuana were also located in the vehicle.
Thomas was taken into custody without incident and was later booked into the Fresno County Jail on various charges.”
