Fresno Police Arrest Individual for Allegedly Firing Gun into Air at Backyard Party
FRESNO, CA — Fresno police have reportedly arrested an individual for allegedly discharging a firearm at a backyard party.
According to a press release by the Fresno Police Department, officers in the Southeast District responded to a residence near South Filbert Avenue and East Dwight Way to investigate reports of gunfire from a backyard.
Responding officers discovered there was a party underway and that the individuals in attendance had been drinking. Officers spoke with several attendees and determined that one individual had allegedly fired multiple rounds into the air.
Officers reportedly obtained this individual’s consent to a vehicle search and allegedly discovered a firearm with no serial number concealed under the front seat.
The individual was arrested for multiple alleged weapons violations, including the willful negligent discharge of a firearm, and booked into the Fresno County jail, according to police.
The individual’s name has not been released.
