On Tuesday afternoon, SIU Detectives served a search warrant after a month’s long investigation into a source of supply of methamphetamine throughout Sacramento County, including the City of Folsom. Prior to serving the search warrant, the individual agreed to sell methamphetamine to undercover detectives. When the subject arrived at the meet location, he was taken into custody. During a search warrant following the arrest, detectives located nearly a pound of methamphetamine, over an ounce of psylocibin mushrooms, packaging for sales and a large sum of cash.

On Thursday evening, SIU Detectives served a search warrant in the 1200 block of Bidwell Street. During the search, detectives located over an ounce of methamphetamine, over a half ounce of heroin, packaging for sales and a loaded firearm that was reported stolen out of El Dorado County. This investigation started based on a tip from an alert Folsom citizen. We would like to thank the individual that reported when something just didn’t seem right. This is a great reminder that if you see something, say something!

Our SIU Detectives are committed to keeping the Folsom community safe from narcotics and the inherent dangers associated with drug sales. If you believe there is illegal drug activity in your neighborhood and would like to provide that information to us, please submit your tips on our tip line at (916) 930-1098.”
