Teacher’s Aid Arrested, Accused of Showing Inappropriate Picture to Minors

SANTA ANA — On November 29, 2022, three minors were walking home in the area of 1400 South Rene Drive.

According to a Santa Ana PD press release, while walking, the minors reportedly observed a man — identified by police as 21-year-old Marvin Elias — sitting in his white Toyota Camry.
As the minors walked past Elias’s car, he called them over and allegedly showed them an inappropriate picture, police said.
The minors left and reported Elias to the police. Officers were able to identify his vehicle, which led to his arrest.
Detectives learned Elias worked as a Teacher’s Aide at McFadden Intermediate School, and had been employed there since May of 2022.
Elias is being held at the Orange County Jail on suspicion of depicting harmful matter to a minor and child annoyance-related charges.
He is being held on $20,000 bail.
