A naked woman who lit a fire in a trashcan and then stabbed the man who reported the fire has been arrested by Rancho Cucamonga police.

The incident took place in the 9300 block of Buffalo Avenue at around 11:35 PM on October 16, 2020.  A man and another person were sitting in a vehicle, “observing a naked female suspect light a fire in a trash bin,” according to the release. “The suspect, later identified as Jessica Lopez, was throwing objects at the fire causing it to grow.”

The man called 911 on his cell phone, when suddenly, “Lopez surprised the victim and stabbed him one time in the chest,” leaving the knife there.

Thankfully, the attack was not life threatening, and the man was able to remove the knife from his chest.  Lopez remained at the scene while police deputies were en route, “displaying bizarre behavior” until their arrival.

Police arrested the 42-year-old woman from Montclair for attempted murder and booked her into West Valley Detention Center.  She is being held on $1,000,000 bail.
