“Lt. Kai and his handler responded to a request for assistance last night after a DNSO Deputy stopped a driver who was trying to evade him.

Lt. Kai then alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle over an ounce of methamphetamine was located, along with almost $3000, and marijuana packaged for sales.

The driver, Joshua Train (age 42), was arrested and booked into the Del Norte County Jail by the Deputy for 11364 HS, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, 11377 HS, possession of a controlled substance, 11378 HS, possession of a controlled substance for sales, 11379 HS, transportation of a controlled substance for sales, and 11360 HS, transport marijuana for sales.”
