Redding man accused of physical assault, rape of juvenile victim

A Shasta County man has been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing and physically assaulting an underage victim, according to police.

20-year-old Joseph Hornbeck of Redding was arrested on the morning of November 10, pursuant to a felony arrest warrant for the alleged strangulation and rape of a juvenile female.

Police say that information uncovered over the course of the investigation has led to suspicion that there may be other victims. Anyone with information relevant to this case is encouraged to contact the Redding Police Department at 520-225-4200.
