A man was arrested after a local ShotSpotter system detected gunfire within south Sacramento County.

Just after 9:30 AM on November 10, deputies responded to the detection of gunshots less than a minute away. At the scene, they arrested 28-year-old George Clifton Brown, reportedly an active member of the Oak Park Blood Gang, after noticing a gun magazine clearly sticking out of his pocket.

Deputies also learned Brown had three warrants for alleged DUI out of two counties.

On November 11, two felony charges of attempted murder were added after investigators discovered that Brown had allegedly been shooting at a person during the initial incident.

He remains in custody at the Sacramento County main jail.
