Suspects Hit Several Pharmacies on July 4th

When a third local pharmacy was burglarized in July 4th , 2020, Northwest Policing District Officers Chandler and Diaz preemptively headed toward a 4th pharmacy in the area in case the serial burglars were headed there next.

While on their way, the officers spotted a speeding vehicle. They pulled over the driver and inside the vehicle saw evidence of the occupants’ involvement in the pharmacy burglaries. The burglars had targeted promethazine and alcohol.

Surveillance video from the three pharmacies, evidence in the suspects’ car, and admission by the suspects, supported the arrest of all 5 subjects in the vehicle.

They were arrested for commercial burglary of the CVS on West Shields, CVS on North Millburn, and the Walgreens on North Brawley. They may also face charges for burglary during a state of emergency and vandalism.

Three of the arrestees are juveniles and will not be publicly identified. The two adults, Andrew Magallanes, 19, and Damien Montroy, 18, were booked into Fresno County Jail.
