Fresno Police Arrest Two Auto Theft Suspects

FRESNO — On Monday, the FPD engaged in 2 separate auto theft arrests.

In the first, they spotted an unoccupied 2001 Mazda Protege at Tyler and Fifth that had been reported stolen.

Detectives began surveillance and soon noticed that it had become occupied and mobile. They followed it to Cedar and Olive and then detained and arrested its driver, 28-year-old Adriana Trevino.

Then, members of the Career Criminal Auto Theft Team spotted an occupied 2003 Toyota Corolla that had been reported stolen.

In the second incident, detectives arrested the occupant before he had a chance to flee the parking lot of the Welcome Inn at 777 N. Parkway.

33-year-old gang member Joshua Edinger was arrested and booked for felony auto theft and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Trevino was on felony probation for identity theft charges, and was booked for felony auto theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, residential burglary and probation violation.
