Wanted Man Violently Resists Arrest

An unwanted subject at a home on the 1400 block of North Cottage Street prompted a phone call to the Porterville Police Department the evening of September 16, 2020.

The subject was 45-year old Cesar Juarez of Porterville. police made contact, they were met with resistance. During a struggle in an attempt to resist arrest, Juarez violently used his elbow to injure an officer. Juarez was eventually

Juarez was wanted for domestic violence warrants and when successfully arrested. The officer was treated and released at a local medical facility for the injury.

Juarez was booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, South County Detention Facility for resisting arrest with violence and assault on a peace officer causing injury. His bail was set at $110,000.
