Homicide Detectives Seek Witnesses in Connection with Death of Fresno Man Found Lying in the Roadway

FRESNO, CA — “On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 2:01 AM, Southwest Policing District Officers were dispatched to Divisadero Street and Abby Street regarding a person lying in the roadway. Upon arrival, officers located 42-year-old Kyle Beachy of Fresno lying on the roadway, suffering from injuries to his upper body. Officers and EMS performed life‑saving measures to the victim, and he was then transported by EMS to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries a short time later and was pronounced deceased.

Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and initiated an investigation. Detectives believe a disturbance involving multiple subjects occurred prior to Beachy’s death. Detectives are currently canvassing the neighborhood and seeking witnesses who may have information about the incident. This is the 12th murder of 2026.
