Officers with the Redwood City Police Department came upon a strange scene at 4:00 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 12. A white Ford pick-up truck from “All Fence Company” was stuck on the track track; more specifically, on the concrete train track curb barrier, still running and still in gear.

The scene of the unoccupied truck was Chestnut and Spring Streets.

Officers went to the All Fence Company where they noticed that someone had driven through the metal gate, damaging another truck. An employee with the company confirmed that that in fact two work trucks had been stolen.

Then, at 7:15 a.m. the Palo Alto Police Department reported that another All Fence Company truck was located at Gunn High School, stuck in the baseball field after ramming through the fence there.

23-year-old Miguel Santosmurillo was located and apprehended near the stolen truck.

Santosmurillo was booked for commercial burglary, vandalism, vehicle theft, and DUI.

The suspect had also been arrested on march 29 for stealing a Sequoia Union School district bus and crashing it into other vehicles on Woodside Road.
