LOS ANGELES — Last Thursday, 23-year-old Matthew Fay Echauri and his 18-year-old girlfriend got into an argument. Then, as she walked away, Echauri began stabbing her in the back.
His stabbing attack also included her “head, face, and body,” according to the LA County District Attorney’s office. After this attack, Echauri fled. However, he was arrested within the day in Arcadia.
Then on Saturday it has been alleged that Echauri called the victim and threatened her if she cooperated with authorities.
Bail has been set at $2 million. The charges that Echauri faces could land him a sentence of 33 years to life in prison.
